How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

As the BPI/SAP Trainer, you will be responsible for training Divisional/Regional associates on all applicable Airgas systems and processes including SAP, Google Kite, Business Warehouse, and others. Candidates should be proficient in all Airgas operating systems and able to effectively deliver training to a variety of associates including new hires, acquisition, and existing associates needing to expand their knowledge of Airgas systems. This role is responsible for creating a high level of competency and practical use in all Airgas operating systems for all associates which will ultimately lead to an improved customer experience due to reduced errors and increased accuracy.
  • Work closely with the Director of BPI, the Director of Business Support Strategies, the BPI team, and the Regional Directors of Customer Experience to identify SAP skill gaps and develop specific training content to address and eliminate identified gaps

  • Support in-person development of associates in the BSC, Branches, and plants

    • Work one-on-one or in small groups performing “on the job” training

  • Develop and help deliver job specific onboarding SAP training. Develop and maintain training content including all materials and aids

    • Work with business partners to develop and/or maintain virtual and classroom training content including training aids, documents, videos, webinars, and “quick tips”

  • Collaborate with business team members in a positive and constructive manner

    • Communicate with Branch, District, and Area leaders to continually improve the effectiveness of training in improving customer experience and finding efficient training solutions

  • Deliver hands-on, classroom, and/or virtual training to associates

    •  Prepare and facilitate scheduled training sessions

    •  Manage attendance and administer training content

  • Participate in periodic team status updates and meetings

Are you a MATCH?

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.​

  • Strong knowledge and experience in SAP and Google Apps.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

 

Preferred Competencies:

  •  Understanding of our business – including branch or plant activities and working SAP knowledge. 

  • Analytical and planning skills – assess and address training needs, as a whole and individually.

  • High level of administrative skills – managing an intense training schedule and training program duties. 

  • Effective presentation skills – must create a positive learning environment and be comfortable in front of a group.

  • Excellent communications skills – able to express themselves clearly and concisely.

  • Team player – willing to listen, learn, participate, challenge, and contribute in a team environment.

  • Solid work ethic – able and willing to work long hours to prepare end users for using SAP.

  • Instructional Design; able to develop webinars, and interactive videos via 3rd party software.

  • Proficient in Google Workspace; Slides, Sheets, Docs, Gmail, Calendar, Chat, and Meet.

  • Willing to travel up to 20% depending on needs of the business, including nights and weekends when required.

  • Ability to work within other time zones when not traveling.

  • Adhering to company and site specific safety measures .
