You’ll work alongside experienced and curious colleagues in a collaborative environment that encourages exploration, learning, and shared problem-solving. With strong support from senior leaders and visibility across the business, the team is well placed to develop, test, and scale new solutions. Your work will be visible, valued, and connected to key priorities from day one.
The role and mission:
This is an opportunity to build, test, and scale AI solutions that can make a real difference. You’ll work on meaningful initiatives, turning new ideas into practical applications that address real business and client needs. Alongside hands-on engineering, you’ll help shape our innovation hub by contributing to hackathons, engaging with the broader tech community, and supporting a culture centered on experimentation, learning, collaboration, and results.
What you will do:
Lead AI initiatives end to end, from early concept and prototyping through to production-ready solutions
Help shape technical direction on projects, contributing to design choices and supporting the path from idea to implementation
Build practical AI applications that address real business problems and deliver measurable value
Work closely with colleagues across our Dublin and international Innovation teams, while also having scope to take initiative and contribute your own ideas
Work in an Agile environment where you can contribute ideas, experiment, learn quickly, and see the impact of your work
Stay hands-on with the latest AI tools, models, and techniques, with ongoing opportunities to learn, test, and evolve continuously
Help shape and strengthen how we build AI, including best practices in prompt engineering, experimentation, evaluation, and solution design
Create reusable approaches, tools, and patterns that help the wider team work more effectively and consistently
Share knowledge, support technical excellence, and help grow capability across a growing team
Why you'll love it:
This is a chance to play a meaningful role in a senior position, with the opportunity to shape projects and contribute to how AI solutions are built. You’ll work on important challenges, explore the latest technologies, and help develop best practices in a team that is growing quickly and working with purpose. With strong leadership support, visibility across the business, and access to the resources of a global organization, you’ll have the platform to make a genuine impact while continuing to grow your career. And you’ll do it from Dublin, one of Europe’s most dynamic and well-connected tech hubs.
What you will need to have:
What makes you stand out:
Experience taking AI products from early experimentation through to production use
Familiarity with emerging standards and frameworks in the agent ecosystem, including Model Context Protocol (MCP)
Knowledge of vector databases, semantic search, and scalable retrieval architectures
Experience improving the quality, reliability, latency, and cost-efficiency of AI systems
Experience with AI evaluation frameworks, testing approaches, and guardrails for reliable and responsible AI systems
A track record of leading projects, mentoring others, and helping define engineering best practices
Why join our team:
We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.
We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can collaborate with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.
Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities.
Note this role is based in the MMC Innovation Centre in Dublin, and the successful candidate is expected to be in the office 3 days per week.
Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other less represented groups tend to only apply when they check every box. So, if you think you have what it takes, but don't necessarily meet every single point on what is needed, please still get in touch.
