Position Overview

Controls  SME is responsible for driving technical excellence in Metasys Building Management Systems (BMS), SCADA platforms( Metasys CIM), supervisory engines, controllers, and instrumentation across the region. This role ensures compliance with engineering standards, promotes application standardization, supports product adoption, and provides technical mentoring to strengthen delivery capability while aligning with global best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Excellence

  • Audit compliance: Perform periodic audits on supervisory engines, SCADA configurations, controllers, and instrumentation loops to ensure compliance with performance guidelines and commissioning standards.
  • Application standardization: Develop and maintain reusable logic libraries, SCADA templates, and standardized application documentation aligned with global standards.
  • Integration management: Build and maintain third-party integration files, engineering libraries, and troubleshooting guides to improve delivery consistency.
  • Instrumentation awareness: Ensure proper selection, calibration, and deployment of sensors, transmitters, actuators, and field devices for reliable system performance.

Leadership & Mentoring

  • Training programs: Conduct technical training and coaching sessions to upskill engineering teams in SCADA, BMS, and instrumentation practices.
  • Product adoption: Drive adoption of new Metasys features, SCADA releases, and instrumentation technologies.
  • Validation activities: Participate in alpha/beta testing of SCADA and BMS upgrades, verify fixes, and provide structured feedback.

Collaboration & Customer Focus

  • Custom project support: Deliver tailored solutions for GMP compliance, specialized audit reports, and unique customer requirements.
  • Global coordination: Work with global product support teams on complex deployments, testing, and validation plans.
  • Regional engagement: Partner with regional leaders to analyze customer demands, identify delivery gaps, and recommend actionable improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.
  • 18+ years of experience in BMS, SCADA systems, and instrumentation.
  • Strong knowledge of Metasys products, supervisory engines, and SCADA platforms.
  • Expertise instrumentation devices (sensors, transmitters, actuators) and their integration with automation systems.
  • Proven track record in technical audits, application standardization, and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across regional and global teams.
