Job Description Summary

As the Segment Leader for Cardiovascular Ultrasound, you will be responsible for selling the company’s products and services to, and maintaining relationships with, strategic Cardiovascular Ultrasound (CVUS) customers. The Segment Leader is viewed as an expert by the company, and the CVUS community. They will lead efforts around sales training and coaching, building strategic solutions, and driving product lifecycle excellence.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Expand Cardiovascular Ultrasound (CVUS) expertise and competitiveness of the GEHC CVUS sales team, including coaching, mentoring, and training efforts

  • Drive Orders and Revenue results in defined geography, by ensuring effectiveness of CVUS sales and clinical team.

  • Ensure CVUS sales and clinical teams are actively driving growth in all sub-segments, including Interventional/Structural Heart, Echo Lab, Pediatrics, and Physician Office.

  • Develop and implement a business plan for Key Break-in Accounts aimed at achieving and exceeding our financial commitments to the business.

  • Work seamlessly with all Market Leaders, PSS’s, Account Managers, and Clinical Applications to develop a business strategy, and maximize business opportunities for all GEHC Ultrasound businesses, products & services.

  • Identify, develop, and support CVUS Key Opinion Leaders.

  • Leverage PSS’s, Service Operations and other Company resources to provide technical, clinical and business content to create a competitive differentiation.

  • Develop and implement market strategies with CVUS and Region Teams to achieve results through effective project proposals, negotiations and contracts.

  • Maintain a high level of technical and commercial competence on relevant products, technologies, and services.

  • Prepare and participate in business reviews/forecasts with senior leadership to ensure a constant flow of accurate information.

  • Maintain an awareness of market dynamics and healthcare trends and ensure that this information is collected and made available to senior leadership.

  • Contribute to development of product messaging, value propositions, and CVUS solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree and at least one of the following core experiences: 10+ years of consultative sales experience including strategic selling and negotiation, or 5+ years in progressively larger formal leadership roles working in a complex technical environment.

  • 5+ Years of experience in the Cardiac Care Area space, with specific background selling and/or supporting Cardiovascular Ultrasound Products and Solutions.

  • Must live within the territory and able to travel 70% of the time (Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Kansas).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in complex strategic/enterprise sales at CXO level.

  • A proven track-record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, and a desire to grow new business.

  • Experience understanding customer needs and business drivers and using this knowledge to develop account plans and proven ability to influence ideas and drive results.

  • Proven key account management and project planning skills.

  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Proven track record of relationship building skills.

  • High level presentation skills; able to present ideas to customers in a way that produces understanding and impact.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly matrixed organization

  • Willingness to travel at least 70% within your specified geographic region with overnight stays depending on geography and business need.
