About the Role

We are seeking a highly capable and analytical Senior Manager, Product Actuary to support the pricing of general insurance products. This role will contribute to the development and implementation of pricing strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support the execution of underwriting and risk management initiatives.

The Senior Manager will play a key role in enhancing pricing models, supporting product development, and ensuring alignment with Blue Cross’s growth objectives in Hong Kong’s general insurance market.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Pricing and Product Support:

  • Develop and maintain pricing models to assess risk and determine appropriate premium rates.
  • Provide actuarial input during product development and enhancement cycles.
  • Conduct profitability analysis and support pricing decisions with data-driven insights.

Financial and Risk Analysis:

  • Assist in revenue forecasting, margin analysis, and capital management.
  • Lead the development of reinsurance strategies in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Lead the experience studies and contribute to the business planning processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with underwriting, product, finance, and sales teams to ensure pricing strategies are effectively implemented.
  • Communicate actuarial findings and pricing recommendations to internal stakeholders.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to pricing and profitability.
  • Continuously refine pricing models to reflect market trends and internal experience.

Team and Knowledge Development:

  • Support a learning culture within the Actuarial Department.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified Actuary or equivalent
  • Over 8 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience on General insurance, HK RBC, IFRS 17
