Job Description

Title: Alliance Solution Engineer, Adobe – North America

Region/Scope: North America (NAMER)

The Opportunity

VML Enterprise Solutions is strengthening our technical pre-sales capability for Adobe-centric pursuits. We're looking for an experienced solution engineer to support co-sell motions across North America—delivering technical support, reference architectures, client-facing demos, and proof-of-concept engagements.

This is a technical pre-sales role focused on winning Adobe deals through technical excellence. You will partner with alliance sales, Adobe field teams, and VML account leadership to demonstrate VML's Adobe implementation capabilities and differentiate our approach. Your technical credibility and demo skills directly influence win rates on strategic pursuits.

You will build and maintain demo environments, develop reusable reference architectures, and serve as the technical voice of VML in client engagements. This role is foundational to scaling our Adobe co-sell success.

Role Summary

Core Identity: Provide technical pre-sales support for Adobe-centric pursuits across North America. Responsible for co-sell technical support, reference architecture development, client-facing demos, and POC delivery.

Role Framework: This role operates across three primary motions:

  • Co-Sell Technical Support (50%): Support pursuit teams with technical expertise and client engagement
  • Reference Architecture & Demos (30%): Build and maintain demo environments and reusable technical assets
  • POC Delivery (20%): Lead proof-of-concept engagements for strategic opportunities

Accountability: You are accountable for technical win contribution on Adobe pursuits. Success is measured by pursuit support quality, demo effectiveness, and POC outcomes.

Core Responsibilities

Co-Sell Technical Support (50%)

  • Participate in client discovery sessions to understand technical requirements
  • Present VML's Adobe technical capabilities and implementation approach
  • Collaborate with Adobe solution architects on joint technical positioning
  • Support RFP/RFI responses with technical content and architecture recommendations
  • Provide technical expertise during client workshops and executive briefings

Reference Architecture & Demos (30%)

  • Build and maintain Adobe demo environments showcasing VML capabilities
  • Develop reusable reference architectures for common Adobe implementation patterns
  • Create technical content including architecture diagrams, integration patterns, and best practices
  • Keep demo environments current with Adobe product releases and new capabilities
  • Contribute to technical enablement materials for sales teams

POC Delivery (20%)

  • Lead proof-of-concept engagements for strategic Adobe opportunities
  • Scope POC requirements and success criteria with pursuit teams
  • Deliver working POC implementations that demonstrate VML differentiation
  • Document POC outcomes and lessons learned
  • Transition POC knowledge to delivery teams for won deals

Technology & AI Expectations

Hands-on experience with partner AI/ML services and tools. Build AI-augmented demos and POCs. Develop reference architectures incorporating AI capabilities. Stay current on partner AI roadmaps and emerging capabilities.

Team Leadership & Management

  • Accountability: Accountable for individual technical contribution. Mentorship and knowledge sharing expected but not primary measure of success.
  • Leadership Expectations: Train and mentor delivery teams on partner technologies. Share best practices and technical standards across the organization. Coordinate with partner technical resources on joint solutions.
  • Management Scope: Individual contributor; may mentor junior engineers and coordinate with partner technical resources.

Success Metrics

  • Win rate on supported pursuits
  • Demo quality and effectiveness ratings
  • POC success rate (meeting defined success criteria)
  • Pursuit team satisfaction with technical support
  • Reference architecture assets created and utilized

Qualifications

Required

  • 6-10+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, or hands-on Adobe implementation
  • Deep expertise in Adobe Experience Cloud (AEM Sites, AEM Assets, Experience Platform, or Workfront)
  • Experience delivering technical demos and presentations to senior client stakeholders
  • Ability to design and communicate solution architectures for enterprise implementations
  • Strong communication skills—able to translate technical concepts for business audiences
  • Background in professional services, consulting, or enterprise software

Preferred

  • Adobe certifications (AEM Developer, Architect, or Business Practitioner)
  • Experience with Adobe integrations (CDP, Analytics, Target, Journey Optimizer)
  • Prior experience in partner or SI pre-sales roles
  • Hands-on development experience with AEM (Java, HTL, OSGi)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Role Positioning

This is a technical pre-sales role—not a quota-carrying sales role, delivery engineer, or back-office technical resource. You will be client-facing regularly, using your technical expertise to win deals. Success requires deep Adobe platform knowledge, strong demo and presentation skills, and the ability to build trusted advisor relationships with technical and business stakeholders.
