Summary: The Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Apigee API Developer role is responsible for the implementation of cloud native APIs built on GCP Apigee API management platform. You will work with customers, cloud partners, and other internal groups to evaluate supporting new technologies, industry specific use cases and architectures based on client needs. Using Google Cloud Platform's Apigee EDGE platform, you will implement state-of-the-art, scalable, high performance solutions that meet the need of today's corporate and emerging digital applications. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Implement best practices for containerization, microservices, and declarative APIs. - Design, develop, configure, and troubleshoot APIs and policies using APIGEE - Implement requirements of the API layer like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, monetization, request and response modifications etc. - Design and develop API platform to connect to various disparate backend systems for seamless data exchange - Build and support the APIs through the entire lifecycle - Perform regular health checks and monitor performance of the Apigee environment - Write Open API spec and smart docs for on boarding APIs to developer portal - Create custom policies in Java, JavaScript, Node js, Python etc in Apigee or any other APIM - Build and create shared flows for Error Handling, Security and other scenarios - Create REST API documentation using Swagger and YAML or similar tools - Standardize the CI/CD setup for Apigee for automated deployment Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Apigee. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with Google Cloud Platform Architecture, MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Kubernetes. - Strong understanding of cloud native architectures and principles. - Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. - Knowledge of microservices architecture and design patterns. - Familiarity with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools. - Ability to design and implement declarative APIs. - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in API Management. - 3+ years Software Development (and Design) work experience using modern API Gateway (APIGEE, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi etc). - 2+ years of experience in APIGEE - This position is based at our Pune office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
