The Marketing Coordinator will help to shape, support and deliver marketing plans, working in conjunction with the Marketing Manager who will define the overall marketing strategy. The role requires good communication, organisation and project management skills plus a level of creativity.

We will provide a 15 month training programme and mentorship support to gain Marketing Executive Level 4 Apprenticeship and exemptions for the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Certificate in Marketing.

Job Description:

Job responsibilities include:

Event Coordination – assist with organisation of conferences, trade shows and webinars

Marketing Materials and Content Creation: Working with the technical sales team and the external graphic design agency to produce and update marketing materials such as brochures, product data sheets, and sourcing promotional items.

Digital Marketing: Update and maintain the company website, ensuring content is current and relevant. Implement email marketing campaigns. Post content on the company's social media platforms.

Campaign Planning and Execution: Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns.

Brand Consistency: Ensure all marketing materials adhere to brand guidelines.

Marketing Spend and Budget Tracking  Assist in managing the marketing budget, ensuring expenditures are within the allocated limits.

Market Analysis: Conduct research such as surveys to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.

Performance Tracking: Collate information and data into reports to track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives

Training and Mentoring:

Between on the job mentoring and your college work you will learn about planning marketing campaigns and digital marketing techniques (websites, email and social media). You will also learn about marketing concepts and theories including:

  • Marketing planning
  • Brands and corporate reputation
  • Stakeholder and Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Customer behaviour
  • The marketing environment and audit
  • Marketing information and research
  • The Marketing Mix

What you’ll need

  • 3 A Levels
  • GCSE English & Maths
  • Knowledge (or an interest in learning) about the agricultural livestock business and animal nutrition.

   - Social Media Familiarity: Understanding of popular social media platforms and their uses for marketing (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok)

   - Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Powerpoint)

3. Eagerness to Learn:

   - Curiosity: A strong desire to learn about marketing concepts, tools, and strategies.

   - Adaptability: Willingness to take on new tasks and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.

4. Basic Analytical Skills:

   - Data Entry: Accurate entry and management of data.

   - Idea Generation: Ability to contribute creative ideas for marketing campaigns.

   - Content Creation: Basic skills in creating simple graphics, videos, or written content.

   - Accuracy: Ensuring accuracy in all tasks, from data entry to content creation.

   - Proofreading: Ability to proofread and edit content for errors.

7. Teamwork and Collaboration:

   - Cooperation: Willingness to work collaboratively with team members and contribute to team goals.

   - Communication: Keeping open lines of communication with colleagues and supervisors.

8. Time Management:

   - Prioritization: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
