Department

The Treasury team is responsible for all aspects of International Cash & Liquidity Management, Cashflow
Forecasting, Working Capital Management and Foreign Exchange.

The Bank Account Analyst role will be based in the Dubai office, reporting to the Banking Relationship Manager, and working closely with the rest of the team in Singapore, Nairobi, Barcelona, Beijing, Dubai and Paris offices.

This role offers an opportunity to learn and advance in a fast-paced work environment with challenging, multi-faceted assignments, and an ability to gain in-depth knowledge of key business drivers and industry dynamics.

Position purpose & Key responsibilities

You will assist the Banking Relationship Manager in the daily tasks include but are not limited to the following.

  • Support the Bank Relations team in proactively managing external bank relationships for Thunes to achieve the firm's commercial and strategic goals.
  • Coordinate the onboarding of new banking partners (operational accounts and banking network partner accounts). This includes coordinating the completion of necessary documentation/agreements required for new relationships and maintaining archives of all documentation.
  • Manage existing relationships and on-going maintenance of documentation, the company profile and registered information with banking partners.
  • Manage ad-hoc bank account related queries both internally and externally and assess the needs of the business.
  • Work with banks and internal teams to complete onboarding and periodic Know Your Customer (KYC) Due Diligence processes for Thunes Group and its subsidiaries.
  • Maintain close relationships with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information in relation to Bank Account Management.
  • Complete bank account dormancy reviews by partnering with banks and business units to determine eligibility.
  • Evaluate new business proposals to assess impact to account management requirements with bank network.
  • Escalate issues and challenges in the process and suggest procedural updates that can enhance processes / workflow.

Experience & technical skills required

  • The candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant working experience operating within a corporate or financial institution’s Treasury function focusing on bank account management.
  • A good understanding of compliance and onboarding with global and regional banks.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Highly detail oriented.
  • Energetic self-starter with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment and effectively drive multiple business initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including Product, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Commercial teams.
  • The role involves working in a dynamic and challenging global environment. The successful candidate will be tenacious, resilient, flexible, and able to accommodate tight deadlines on short notice.
  • Knowledge of Payment Systems (SWIFT, SEPA, etc.).
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat applications.
