Nurse Practitioner - NP - Colorectal – Days

  

The Nurse Practitioner for the Colorectal service is responsible for managing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care as part of the Colorectal team. You will direct and coordinate the delivery of quality patient care to our patients. Our Colorectal work with precision, care, and expertise, using the most advanced and minimally invasive procedures available today for treating a broad range of digestive disorders that affect the colon, rectum, anus, appendix and small bowel.  Now, you can join this legendary tradition.-lol, we can erase but too good

 

We are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provider patient care in the outpatient clinic. Prior experience in wound and ostomy care highly preferred

Responsible for direct patient care and coordination within specialty areas 

 

This is a full time, Monday – Friday, day shift position located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.  Position will be 4 days x 10 hours and Friday coverage is required.

 

Preferred Criteria:

• Previous RN or NP experience in Colorectal or General Surgery preferred
• Previous experience in Wound Care and Ostomy care  highly preferred

• Previous experience in Anal intraepithelial neoplasia (AIN)  practice preferred

• Knowledge of National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NCCN)  (NAPRC)  

• EPIC experience a plus

 

Required Criteria

• Master’s Degree in Nursing
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
• New York State Registered Nurse License and Adult, Acute Care or Family Nurse Practitioner License
• NP Board Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
