Job Title: Assembly Technician

Standard Bots, which specializes in designing and manufacturing robotic arms for various industries, is seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be charged with building and testing of robots. They will also work closely with the facilities manager and the broader engineering team to improve operational efficiency and product manufacturability.

 The role is on-site at our manufacturing facility (Glen Cove, NY).

As Assembly Technician you will:

• Perform necessary operations to correctly assemble production robots

• Report defects and issues pertaining to quality & process to Production Supervisor

• Perform quality inspections and tests to ensure highest customer satisfaction

• Maintain a safe working environment ensuring all company and industrial standards are followed at all times

• Assist in developing assembly and test procedures

• Receive, unload, unpack and transfer materials to different work stations

• Contribute to driving continuous improvement of efficiency on the facility floor

Minimum Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalent

• Two (2) or more years experience in a hands-on mass production line environment

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Positive attitude and team player

• Ability to multitask and handle tasks with competing priorities effectively

• Effective communicator

• Extreme attention to detail

Bonus Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree

• Experience with automotive, aerospace, industrial, mechatronic or electromechanical device manufacturing

• Experience with machine shop equipment (preferred, not required)

• Knowledge of OSHA best practices

• Programming experience
