As a Pricing Advisor, you will be a vital partner to our network of veterinary clinics, helping them optimize and manage their pricing strategy. By gaining a deep understanding of each clinic’s pricing structure and the regional market they serve, you will ensure that their pricing aligns with best practices and both internal and external benchmarks. Your role will involve regular communication with clinics to address pricing challenges, provide guidance, and implement solutions that support their operational success.
Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Pricing and Revenue Analytics, you will play a crucial role in supporting over 200 and growing practices across the USA. Your expertise in providing tailored advice and implementing effective pricing strategies will be essential in helping each clinic achieve its goals while enhancing overall efficiency and quality of service. We’re seeking a self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of veterinary medicine and medical billing to excel in this impactful position.
Job Responsibilities
Drive Pricing Improvements: Leverage your veterinary expertise and understanding of industry best practices to thoroughly assess clinic pricing data, identifying key trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Your proactive efforts will be crucial in optimizing pricing at each clinic on a regional level, enabling them to enhance operational efficiency and deliver greater value to their clients.
Shape Strategic Pricing: Collaborate with the field operations team during the annual pricing review, taking a leading role in refining and enhancing each clinic’s pricing approach. Actively engage with clinic staff to address specific challenges, implement necessary changes, and build confidence in their pricing practices.
Maintain Data Accuracy: Partner with clinics to ensure that all pricing information is accurately entered and updated in the patient management system. Conduct frequent reviews of billing data to ensure alignment with best practices and swiftly addressing any discrepancies. By maintaining accurate data, you’ll help clinics avoid pricing errors and enhance the client experience.
Lead Training Initiatives: Design and lead comprehensive training program to educate clinic staff and field operations teams on best practices in pricing and billing. Your training sessions will empower teams to effectively manage and optimize their pricing strategies, leading to better outcomes for the clinics and their clients.
Execute Projects and Provide Support: Lead pricing-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring each project aligns with and supports the overarching objectives of the support office. Additionally, provide expert guidance and timely support for ad-hoc inquiries and challenges that arise within the clinics. Your leadership and responsiveness will be critical in driving successful project outcomes and maintaining clinic satisfaction.
Qualifications
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, with the with the ability to navigate difficult conversations and effectively manage change.
Veterinary Experience: 2+ years in a veterinary environment with comprehensive knowledge of medical products, services, and billing practices.
PIMS Proficiency: Proficient with one or more patient management systems (e.g. Avimark, Infinity, Cornerstone) with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
Technical Skills: Proficient with Excel and Office 365 Suite
Adaptability and Multitasking: Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, effectively managing changing priorities and multiple tasks.
Independent and Team-Oriented: Self-motivated and capable of working independently while also excelling as a collaborative team player, engaging with various stakeholders to achieve common goals.
Remote Work and Travel: This is a primarily remote position, with infrequent travel required (less than 10% of the time) to support clinics and attend key meetings.
Passion for Veterinary Medicine: Deep commitment to the veterinary field, driven by a passion for pets and a focus on enhancing client care through effective pricing strategies and best practices.
Fully remote role. You can sit anywhere in the US or Canada.
Salary Range for role: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 base with a 5% Bonus potential.
