The G/FORE Product Development Assistant supports the design team with product development, material development, and trim development functions across all product categories as needed. This role combines tactical, product development tasks, material profiles and testing, and color evaluation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist Associate Director of Product Development with liaison between design team and production team.
  • Communicate with factories and mills as needed to ensure accurate sample execution.
  • Attending weekly fittings for Men’s and Women’s development.
  • Assist in creation and maintenance of all Style Setups for apparel.
  • Assist with entering and maintaining component level data and images in Stylemaster.
  • Assist with requesting material profile sheets, spec sheets, and material testing.
  • Support material color development and bulk color and material approvals.
  • Ensure Style Setup updates and changes from design team and factory are implemented and delivered to production for import into Bluecherry.
  • Interface with trim vendors for all new developments, place bulk trim orders and manage inventory.
  • Responsible for all salesman samples and photo sample requests used in sample POs by Director of Production.
  • Record all changes after salesman samples arrival and coordinate updates with Marketing and Photo Team.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Outstanding time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Accurate organizational methods with a strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office programs.  Knowledge of Adobe software a plus
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with management, peers, vendors and clients

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • One to three years of experience is preferred
