In this role, you will be at the front-end development of a multi-billion-dollar project portfolio. What You Will Do
Manage and analyze historical project database. Identify and implement processes to improve database accuracy and quality.
Work with internal stakeholders to develop cost estimating tools and manage their calibration on regular basis.
Act as a senior resource and lead or coordinate various special studies and other initiatives relating to cost, project development, and project performance analysis.
Lead the creation of various reports and deliverables for the senior management.
Proactively identify, coordinate, and implement process improvements in the project development, cost tools and related areas to improve quality and accuracy of capital projects.
Facilitate project definition sessions with a team of domain experts to quantity capital cost contingency.
Who You Are
Degree, diploma, and/or certification.
Minimum of six years of proven experience in cost engineering, data management, data analytics, cost estimating, project controls or project management. A combination of experience and education will be considered. Note for candidates who do not possess a University degree, an additional 3 years of related experience is required.
Knowledge of functions and processes including cost control, cost estimating, change management, project development and benchmarking practices.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with Association of Advancement in Cost Engineering (AACE), and Project Management Institution (PMI) principals would be considered an asset.
Working Conditions:
Office environment.
Travel is required a few times a year (less than 10%) for meetings within Canada and the U.S. Valid passport required.
