Insulation Blanket Fabrication Specialist (Fabrication)

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Fabrication Specialist to join the Blanket Shop Team in North Charleston, SC on 1st shift.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform machine set-up and conduct equipment and material inventory reviews
• Fabricate insulation blankets using approved engineering drawings and documents, ensuring close attention to detail and tolerance
• Cut materials using hand tools and powered equipment
• Sew materials together using sewing machinery
• Heat seal materials using specialized equipment
• Perform minor re-work on aircraft carpets using heavy-duty sewing machines
• Maintain high standards of quality throughout the fabrication process

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 1+ year of experience with machine set-up and equipment/material inventory review
• 1+ year of experience reading and interpret engineering drawings and documents
• 1+ year of experience with heavy-duty sewing machines for carpet re-work

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Previous experience in insulation blanket fabrication or similar manufacturing roles
• Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards and tolerances
