A Day in the Life

Partnering with global manufacturing to support the operational needs and enable their strategic plans through collaboration, leadership and innovation.

You will communicate with numerous functional areas and support business needs related to technology, operational processes, and data relationships/configurations to sustain operations while aligning processes across business units & geographies to develop solutions to issues while facilitating process development and improvement activities.

A Day in The Life Of:

• Support all IT incidents
• Provide functional knowledge and technical support to the business supporting manufacturing
• Respond to all incidents and requests raised via our ServiceNow ticketing system and the emergency IT Service Desk helpline
• Determine business impact based on the business unit criteria
• Work closely with global escalation teams, while owning all incidents at a local level.
• Work on tasks to develop and address process improvements, training, knowledge transfer, reports and documentation.
• Create and update the knowledge base to improve service to clients including: develop written procedures, tips, reports, and support related material.
• Ensure that systems and all information are protected in accordance with Medtronic’s Information Protection Policies and Standards as well as best Information Protection practices.

Key Skills & Experience  

• Level 8 computing degree or relevant degree
• Deskside support experience desirable
• Windows server and Active Directory experience desirable
• Networking experience desirable
• Experience using SAP and/or SAP ME a benefit
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment a benefit
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
