We are looking for an Inventory Accountant who will play a critical role on the finance team by owning the accuracy and integrity of our inventory records, contributing to sound financial reporting and operational efficiency. This will include collaborating with supply chain and operations teams to track inventory movement, reconcile discrepancies, and identify opportunities for process/internal control improvements. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, inventory management practices, and the ability to analyze data to identify trends and potential issues.                             

What you will do: 

  • Own the reconciliation of 3PL inventory:
    • Perform month end inventory reconciliations
    • Manage cycle and year-end physical counts at multiple locations
    • Be the point of contact on the finance team for WMS integrations
    • Audit 3PL inventory invoices
    • Own any audit requests related to inventory as part of annual audits
  • Manage inventory tracking in ERP (NetSuite):
    • Approve purchase orders and new SKU creation
    • Help record item fulfillments and inventory adjustments
    • Maintain organization of ERP data
  • Financial reporting:
    • Be the finance partner to our supply chain operations team in tracking profitability and identifying potential opportunities for savings
    • Forecast inventory usage and purchases for our supply chain operations team to use in purchasing decisions
  • Client management:
    • Assist account managers with client questions on inventory quantities, history, and reconciliation
    • Track overdue client balances and inform account managers of any issues
    • Improve process of preparing client invoices by collaborating with our billing department
  • General process and internal control improvements to help us sustainably grow

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field 
  • Inventory transaction management experience required
  • Experience with NetSuite required
  • Advanced skill with Excel required
  • Experience with inventory reconciliation across multiple WMS systems preferred
  • Highly detail oriented and strong communication skills
