The MCSE Communications Manager will lead multiple processes related to the development and dissemination of scientific communication deliverables, providing operational support to content creators in MCSE, and project management oversight of key vendor deliverables. The MCSE Communications Manager will play an integral role in the successful execution of several deliverables in MCSE across multiple assets and indications.


Key Responsibilities:

US Encores- Work with TA Medical Directors and Scientific Communication Leads  to ensure execution of encore abstracts and poster submissions to US regional meetings, providing vendor oversight as needed.

Assist Medical Writers with upload and quality assurance of abstracts and posters to Congress websites

·       Assist Sci Comm team by answering JPUB questions, submitting publications for JPUB reviews as needed, obtaining authorship agreements, entering new authors and authorship agreements into JPUB, and running debarment checks.

Maintain the master author contact list (internal and external authors) with correct contact information, affiliations, and disclosures.

Assure accurate updates to publication plans across the Immunology TA

Organization and maintenance of final abstracts, posters, orals, and manuscripts for ease of reference on department SP

Working with the Scientific Communication Leads, support posting of identified posters to J&J Medical Connect, and other shared sites as requested (eg. Global MAF sharepoint, Congress Hub)

Serve as a Sci Comm liason between cross functional teams and within Medical Affairs/MCSE to ensure information and tactics are share/transparent

As required, assist Scientific Communications Leads (SCL) with project and vendor management for key team deliverables, including timelines and tracking

As required, assist with digital innovation tactics as requested

Qualifications

Education:

BA/BS required; MS or PharmD preferred

Experience and Skills:

Preferred:

A minimum of 3-4 years of combined relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred

Prior experience in a Medical Affairs or Publications Manager/Medical Writer role for 2+ years is preferred

A demonstrated track record of success within Medical Affairs, clinical environment and/or scientific function is desired

Required:

Excellent oral and written communication, presentation skills, and project management skills are required

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize assignments is required

Critical thinking, social skills, intellectual curiosity, and team building skills are required.

The expected base pay range for this position is $117,000 to $175,500. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs.  Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.  The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.  Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year   Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year   Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year  Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year  Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child  Condolence Leave – 30 days for an immediate family member: 5 days for an extended family member  Caregiver Leave – 10 days   Volunteer Leave – 4 days  Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours
