The Opportunity
As a Senior Projects Engineer you will work within the Packing Department Projects division joining an established team of Engineers in the delivery of improvements to help integrate new products or processes into the existing manufacturing area, through the execution of project work in compliance with current regulatory and company requirements. The successful candidate will report directly to the Principal Program Manager.
What You’ll Do
Equipment Engineering
Specification of equipment for manufacturing, packaging or processing in high volume pharmaceutical or specialty food production
Mechanical, electrical & Automation knowledge and integration management
Design expertise in pharma / food metrology, dimensioning and mathematical specification.
Control systems for extensive process operations
Project Management
Responsible for leading plant capital projects as assigned.
Presentation of project charters and business case proposals for review with management team.
Development of project documentation including technical design, scope documents, and key performance indicators (KPI’s) in accordance with corporate, division and site requirements.
Preparation of project plans, working closely with key stakeholders on site on business needs and timing of project completion.
Development of installation plans, and completion of scope of all project work in accordance with quality, operations, and EHS requirements
Presentation of project updates to Management including reporting on Accomplishments/ Upcoming Activities/ Risk & Mitigation & Key Milestones, on a regular basis.
Ability to effectively manage project communication at all levels with key stakeholders and contractors
Financial Management
Procurement of vendor services that are fit for purpose, cost effective and incorporate appropriate Service Level Agreements.
Undertaken financial analysis, budgeting, tracking and schedule management for all aspects of projects ensuring value for money through competitive bidding, benchmarking and quality reviews.
Implementation of regular project reporting structures including milestone achievements, deliverables, status, resource demands and financial control (Actuals vs Forecasting).
Validation
Responsible for ensuring full implementation of all projects in line with site validation programs.
Play a critical role on the validation review board and play a key role in driving successful completion of all validation packs.
Development and execution of validation protocols (FAT, DQ, IQ, OQ PQ).
Execution of change controls.
Management of any project associated Quality issues and CAPA’s.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent discipline.
English level C1
PMP
Maintenance Management (Maximo)
Data collection & Analysis (Aveva PI, Asset Intellect, Zarpac. OEE)
Nutrition Business
Monitors progress of individuals, teams, managers or technical individuals towards departmental goals, monitoring costs of projects and compliance to related regulations.
Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in Engineering.
Knowledge of an Automated Manufacturing Environment (understanding of packing equipment a distinct advantage).
Good mental ability to logically follow a line of though for problem solving.
Good Team Player
In this role it´s important to:
Follow all Health and Safety Rules and Regulations in the plant
Maintain plant safety at the highest level with a zero-accident target and with immediate response and thorough investigation and corrective action for all hazardous occurrences and accidents.
It is important that GMP is a main priority in any operation carried out in this job function.
The Senior Projects Engineer is responsible for consulting any SOP’s for any job task he/she may carry out and ensure they fully understand and adhere to the SOP.
Help establish with the Principal Program Manager the departmental goals, schedules and timetables for activities.
Establish communication lines with all other departments e.g. Manufacturing, Q.A., Materials, Human Resources, Technical Operation Support and Finance.
Ensure compliance with Company International Global Standards, GMP & Environmental requirements.
Ensure all efforts are made to reduce product cost by improving efficiencies.
Manage Project Engineering Department finances within the annual organizational plan
