Strategy & Operations Analyst — Fidelity Private Shares

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Strategy & Operations Analyst to support the Director, Strategy and Operations in scaling and maturing the Fidelity Private Shares business. This role plays a critical part in driving operational excellence, supporting strategic initiatives, and enabling data‑driven decision‑making across the business. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, diligent, and enjoys working cross‑functionally to solve complex problems.

The Work You Will Do

  • Produce data-driven insights and reports to support decision-making, identify trends, and surface opportunities.
  • Support GTM efforts by delivering customer segmentation analyses and market insights.
  • Assist in preparing materials for leadership meetings, investment committees, and quarterly planning sessions.
  • Support the development and execution of business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Contribute to the development of business cases for new opportunities and initiatives.
  • Take ownership of ad hoc projects where clear ownership may not exist, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.

The Expertise & Skills You Bring

  • Experience in business operations, strategy, or financial analysis.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with a bias toward action.
  • Experience in financial services or fintech is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to strategic planning or corporate development.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and interpret data from multiple sources.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, project management tools, and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with private equity and venture capital is a plus.
  • Understanding of SaaS metrics, unit economics, and customer lifetime value.
  • Extreme attention to detail with a focus on delivering accurate and high‑quality results.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across multiple teams.

    The base salary range for this position is $66,000-125,000 USD per year.  

    Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

    Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
