Job Summary

Responsible for analyzing and evaluating strategic business opportunities, initiatives, merger, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances and/or joint ventures. Conducts market analysis, researches and monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs. Assists in the planning, development, and analysis of business objectives, long-range and strategic plans, and organizational strengths and weakness. May manage a team including exempt and non-exempt employees. Provides subject matter guidance to employees as required. Develops processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies. Assists in development and meeting of departmental budget.

We desire to develop a team which will drive innovation and appropriate investments to ensure the company is both competitive and innovative at the intersection of wireless and wireline services, including use of its core strengths of 30+ million customer relationships, 22+ million WiFi hotspots, 7+ million mobile customers, 5G wireless spectrum, state of the art network assets and unparalleled entertainment generation and distribution capabilities.

As Manager, Wireless Partnerships & Development, you will:

  • Have an opportunity to be part of the Wireless Strategic Development Group, the fastest growing team at Comcast 
  • Be exposed to and participate in executive-level strategic decisions about the company’s future
  • Contribute to the group’s efforts in identifying, evaluating and implementing wireless growth initiatives
  • Help drive efforts related to data collection and analytics
  • Be part of a team of agile and motivated individuals
  • Report to the Executive Director of Wireless Partnerships & Development

Primary responsibilities:

  • Lead the company’s efforts to create new data analytics tools, analytical frameworks, and reporting for future wireless activities
  • Support the group’s efforts in identifying, analyzing and developing opportunities for action regarding key wireless industry trends such as 5G, neutral host, private networks, IoT or fixed mobile convergence
  • Identify, prioritize and develop wireless growth initiatives including their cost/benefit implications (e.g., business case) and operational requirements (e.g., trial, deployment)
  • Help transform growth initiatives into commercial go-to-market plans. Support implementation within Comcast’s business units across technology, product, marketing, pricing, finance and other functional areas
  • Identify and evaluate potential partnerships and/or acquisitions to support Comcast’s wireless growth
  • Support the contract negotiation process, including working with legal and procurement to ensure the timely execution of contracts
  • Work as part of a team that collaborates across all of Comcast’s businesses globally
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including financial modeling
  • Genuine interest in all things technology
  • Ability to communicate and socialize complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Willingness to adapt and work in an evolving environment
  • Proficiency with analytical tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Tableau, Qlikview or SQL
  • Background in Telco/Tech strategy, corporate finance, investment banking, equity research or consulting

Core Responsibilities

  • Researches and performs financial, economic and other analysis of specific products, services, companies, and industry sectors. 
  • Analyzes and evaluates new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances and/or joint ventures. Builds detailed financial models and structures to evaluate business opportunities.
  • Conducts market analysis, researches and monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs.
  • Participates in special studies for top management in areas such as the organization's operational effectiveness, product positioning, capacity utilization, and operating cost containment.
  • Performs business analysis such as cash-flow analysis, forecast analysis, and break-even analysis. Effectively communicates results to management. 
  • Participates and may lead projects for environmental scans, organizational positioning analyses, and other studies related to the Company's growth and profitability. 
  • Drafts business plans and deal summaries as needed. 
  • May select and develop personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. 
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary. 
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
