As Product Engineer (PE) at Micron in the Media Health Group (MH), you will be part of a forward-thinking team of engineers that solves complex problems, responsible for enabling Micron’s products with detailed and issue free release to both internal and external customers. MH PEs are also accountable for Micron products meeting best-in-industry yield, quality, and test cost. MH PEs are the key interface between Research and Development, Test Manufacturing, Marketing, and Quality Assurance departments.

Our Opportunity Summary

As a DRAM Product Engineer (Media Health group), you will work with Product Leads, Design, and Test Engineering to cultivate Design-for-Test (DFT) and Micron Wafer Probe & Margin flow philosophy, with Yield, Quality and Product Engineering to root-cause and solve technical problems to improve Micron product quality, with Process Engineering to drive process improvement. You will have expert capability on test manufacturing code and testing techniques to validate device performance in order to drive guidance. This expertise should include defining and debugging test patterns and debugging product issues and aiding other specialists in product characterization. In this role, your additional responsibilities include an in-depth understanding of the details of general device functionality specific to semiconductor memory products, as well as an understanding of schematics and signal integrity. This job entails working with an established group of hardworking engineers looking for teamwork and mentorship in their technical roles. The seniority level offered will be based on a combination of experience and education.

What’s Encouraged Daily:

  • Work with Test Manufacturing, Product Engineering and Design Engineering to provide test guidance to improve product quality and yield along with outlining plans and priorities.
  • Provide ideas for new DFT and Architectures to support enhanced test capability to add in future quality, yield, and test time improvements.
  • Debugging and identifying root causes for failures using data, electrical, and physical analysis techniques. Also using these techniques to modify existing testing strategies to improve quality and enhance yield.
  • Facilitate test time improvements through flow and pattern optimization.
  • Lead the team in finding solutions for an array of different technical challenges that arise.

How To Qualify:

  • Basic knowledge of DRAM architecture and functionality
  • Circuit-level simulation and debug experience
  • Experience with Shell Scripts (Perl, Unix, Bash, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with Automated Test Equipment
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in one of the following: Computer Engineering - Electrical Engineering
