Key performance areas

As an Industrial Assembler I, you will assemble large and heavy parts to complete sub-assemblies and drilling rigs using hand tools, power tools, and other specialized equipment. You will be expected to perform a variety of specialized assembly operations, including electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical tasks.

Main Responsibilities

Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools.

• Check power and hand tools for correct operation.

• Follow instructions from the supervisor or manager.

• Assemble components using power and hand tools based on the BOM & Lean System.

• Follow a granular schedule to determine the required assembly and special options on the machine.

• Report hours properly in the system.

• Ensure connections for correct fitness, fastening parts, and sub-assemblies per customer specifications.

• Report assembly problems to the Lean system as well as the Supervisor for assistance.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment following company policies and procedures.

• Handle other tasks as assigned by the Team Leader, Supervisor, or Manager.

Education

  • High School Education or GED

Required Competencies

Attitude in line with company values.

• Must possess some mechanical and/or electrical background.

• Know basic hand tools.

• Know BOM and read drawings.

• Willingness to work overtime and shift work as needed.

• Possess the ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
