Financial control and management of expenditure for the department.
Liaison with finance controllers & representatives regarding budget expenditure, actuals, and variances.
Exploring value adding opportunities that reduce short- and long-term costs to the business.

Support Facilities division in ensuring business continuity to all services provided by the department
Keep tenants up to date in relation to progress made or escalated issues and emergencies and other relevant issues that impact their location
Coordinate the safety committees in improving the health and safety of all tenants at various sites
Ensure all department activities are aligned to applicable corporate policies. e.g., fixed assets, contracts and procurement, expenditure DOA, HR, and compliance policies
Engaging departments (procurement, HR, Legal, Corporate affairs, Audit, IT, compliance) on issues that requires their input
Support and coordinate facilities BCP and disaster recovery plan, including conducting periodic testing in collaboration with tenants
Promotes the use of standard processes and tools to increase consistency, efficiency of execution, and reduce costs.
Responsible for the planning and execution of projects – on time, on budget, and value delivered.
Coordinate the safe, efficient, reliable and environmentally sound working environments for Astron Energy employees, customers and all site operations.
Ensures adequate communication to the site customers/tenants about Facilities activities that will impact them.
Manage and facilitate insurance payments, claims and renewal submissions.
Professional Qualification and Certifications:
Required
Built Environment Degree (Property, Facilities Management, Built Environment) or bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Project Management qualification
Work Experience:
Demonstrated exposure and experience in coordinating Facilities Management activities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and programmes with the relevant project management methodologies and tools.
Knowledge and skills:
Previous experience in management of facilities management service providers
Good knowledge of contract and service delivery management through KPIs and SLA
Financial acumen – budgeting, forecasting, costing and cost management.
Application of OHS act, SHEQ policy, programmes, and processes within facilities management.
High level report writing, minutes of meetings, and presentations.
Interpersonal skills including the ability to work with both internal customers and external entities as required.
Excellent communication skills
