Job Description

The Infrastructure Consultant II is responsible for infrastructure design, selection and implementation by supporting resolution efforts. The Consultant II works on tasks related to automated monitoring and alerting solutions, metrics creation and reporting, applications integration and problem management. The role prioritizes and responds to inquiries by helpdesk, specialists and others, as well as maintains governance documentation, implements major configuration changes, and supports infrastructure-related communications and training.

Key Responsibilities

·       Research, analysis, planning, optimization of Mac/iOS support

·       Manages collaboration with support chain teams (Engineering, Architects, vendors, business clients) to ensure technology components are supported & maintained properly

·       Create support documentation for technology components

·       Implement support processes

·       Manage complex hardware and software technology component analysis, and evaluation on resource requirements necessary to maintain and/or expand service levels

·       Manage efforts to ensure that plans integrate effectively with other aspects of the technical hardware and software technology components including representing security standards

·       Resolve highly complex or critical incidents, logging and communicating issues and resolutions

·       Provide input and technical guidance in project management, planning, task definition and estimating

·       Develop plans to meet required service levels, report on service health

·       Using a good understanding of the business needs, provides thought leadership, innovative ideas, and direction in support of senior leadership.

·       Builds and maintains relationships with business and technology partners needed to accomplish assigned tasks.

  • With minor direction, performs research, gathers information, analyzes data, draws conclusions, and makes recommendations

  • Clearly and effectively communicates basic ideas and information to others

  • With minor direction, develops, operationalizes, and implements ideas that have long term broad organizational impacts

  • Establishes common ground and looks for mutually acceptable solutions while building consensus.

  • Willingly works to resolve conflicts, issues, and differences of opinion.

  • Follows through on commitments

  • Able to identify outstanding or unresolved issues, and escalate appropriately

  • Communicates and presents basic project information/updates to project manager

  • Seeks and utilizes relevant functional, business, and technical knowledge to identify and recommend the best solutions for Agencies and staff. Solves problems and looks for innovative solutions.

Education

• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience

• 2 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This job does not have supervisory duties.

Education & Experience (in lieu)

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
