Citi Finance is responsible for the firm’s financial management and related controls.  The team comprises disciplines including Treasury, Tax, Controllers and Financial Planning & Analysis, and manages and partners on key Citi initiatives and deliverables, such as our quarterly earnings process and ensuring Citi’s compliance with financial rules and regulations.

The Process Control l Analyst 1 is a trainee professional role. Requires a good knowledge of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts and principles upon which the job is based. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Makes evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information. They are expected to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents. Must be able to exchange information in a concise way as well as be sensitive to audience diversity. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own job.

In this role, you’re expected to

  • Assist in exception Monitoring Process under CDSO Organization

  • Timely escalation of GRS breaks and ensure root cause analysis performed for all open breaks

  • Assists in ensuring financial reporting accuracy and compliance with requirements and Citi policies; ensures adequate controls are in place.

  • Participates in independent appraisal activities performed by internal audit as well as by external auditing firms for the purposes of certification of financial statements and assessing the adequacy, effectiveness and compliance with financial, operating, information systems, and administrative controls.

  • Manages implementation of procedures and development of analyses and report.

  • Integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices.

  • Escalates problems or issues relating to transactions, processes, reports or, procedures.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • Less than a year and above experience in Finance/Accounting

  • Bachelor's degree graduate - Finance related
