As an Architect on the Global Services Ansible Platform team, you will serve as a strategic bridge across Red Hat Services teams and customers across the globe. You will work directly with customer architecture, development, and operations teams to understand their challenges and demonstrate how the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform can enhance operational efficiency, business continuity, and their ability to innovate. This isn’t just a customer-facing role, you will also have dedicated time to work across Red Hat as a SME in global initiatives to advance how we go-to-market with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and how Red Hat Services enable success for our customers.

What you will do:
Consult and Influence: Deliver high-impact discovery, analysis, and design workshops for stakeholders (technical and business), shaping their strategic vision and translating business goals into technical reality.
Drive Consultative Sales: Act as the technical expert during the sales cycle, owning the solution architecture, supporting presales workshops, and building compelling, value-driven proposals. Proactively identify new opportunities for customer success within active engagements.
Architect Solutions: Design and implement modern platform architectures with a strong understanding of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and automation at scale.
Product Lifecycle Influence: Act as a technical advocate for the field, distilling complex customer feedback into actionable feedback into Engineering and Product Management teams.
Thought Leadership: Develop and share best practices, reusable assets, and architectural patterns, contribute to whitepapers and webinars, and speak at relevant industry events.
Collaboration: Work closely with Red Hat's product, engineering, professional services, and sales teams to ensure a world-class customer experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
Development of Global Services Frameworks: Develop and test innovative services offerings and approaches. Your contribution is not limited to solving individual customer challenges; it will be firmly integrated as a global standard within the methodologies and solutions implemented by Red Hat Services worldwide
What you will bring:
Experience: 7+ years of experience in a technology role such as enterprise architecture, consulting, or sales engineering, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure solutions and platform adoption.
Automation Expertise: Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with the full capabilities of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, executing complex playbooks, and managing infrastructure as code (IaC). High-level familiarity with similar offerings, such as Chef, Puppet, and others in the automation space.
Datacenter and Cloud Knowledge: Deep experience integrating compute, storage, and networking, alongside strong practical knowledge of automating provisioning across on-premises environments and public clouds.
Container Experience: Working experience with containers, container platforms (preferably Red Hat OpenShift), and related toolings in production enterprise environments.
Linux Experience: Working experience of Linux operating systems, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or its derivatives, in production enterprise environments.
Consulting Acumen: Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand customer challenges and build long-lasting relationships.
Global Mindset: Willingness to work across diverse global cultures and time zones.
Travel: Willingness to travel to customer locations regularly.
Nice to have:
Red Hat certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Red Hat Certified Specialist in Advanced Automation).
Experience with one or more public cloud providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience with one or more virtualization technologies (OpenStack, VMware, Hyper-V).
Experience in a consulting or professional services role for a major software company.
Experience working in a QA role or working with ticketing systems or bug tracking tools is preferred.
Familiarity with using AI tools to enhance individual and team productivity
Familiarity with security fundamentals at the infrastructure (including cloud/hypervisor) and operating system level

Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
