We are seeking a dedicated Cloud Operations Engineer with a strong focus on application and infrastructure support. This role will be primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and stability of applications running on AWS Cloud Linux-based systems. The ideal candidate will possess solid Linux skills and a proven ability to diagnose and resolve application-related issues, complemented by a general understanding of the underlying infrastructure.

• Primarily focus on troubleshooting and resolving issues related to applications running on Linux servers within cloud infrastructure.

• Collaborate closely with development teams on application deployments, configurations, and troubleshooting.

• Investigate application errors, performance bottlenecks, and other issues by analyzing logs, system metrics, and configurations.

• Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and security.

• Perform regular application and infrastructure maintenance tasks.

• Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting for applications and infrastructure.

• Document application support procedures and troubleshooting steps.

• Maintain a general understanding of the underlying infrastructure (e.g., networking, storage, database) to aid in application issue resolution.

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience as an Operation and Support Engineer, Cloud Engineer or similar role focused on application support.
• Strong command-line skills and experience with any Linux distribution (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux).
• Experience in troubleshooting application issues in a Linux environment.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Experience working and analyzing Java-based applications.
• Basic understanding of networking principles relevant to application communication.
• Basic knowledge of databases, especially their configuration and integration with Java applications.
• Experience in application and infrastructure monitoring using Datadog, Nagios, Prometheus, or a similar tool.
• Cloud experience is a plus.
