What success looks like in this role:

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Budapest. This role involves 50% onsite presence during the first few months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize software applications and cloud-native solutions.

• Integrate custom-built solutions within public cloud environments (AWS/Azure).

• Write infrastructure and automation scripts, along with deployment/configuration code.

• Design, implement, and maintain multi-tier applications.

• Estimate effort, resources, and timelines for service requests.

• Collaborate with stakeholders (users, project managers) on business and technical requirements.

• Ensure security best practices and conduct testing (unit, integration, UAT).

• Contribute to technical documentation and provide consultancy on IT processes.

• Analyze and model business and functional requirements.

• Develop guidelines for development environment management.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• University degree in an ICT-related field.

• 7+ years in software development, with 4+ years in relevant technologies.

• Strong experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), microservices, and containerized applications (e.g., Kubernetes).

• Knowledge of software development methodologies and API-driven development.

• Familiarity with Event-Driven Architectures (e.g., Kafka), BDD, and security protocols (OAuth2, TLS).

• Expertise in concurrent programming and reactive frameworks (e.g., Project Reactor).

• Solid understanding of business process analysis, quality standards, and automation tools.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work in an international, multicultural environment.

• Fluent in English (C1 level).
