Our approach to R&D **Team Introduction** (placeholder) **Position Summary** This role is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and implementation of automation platforms that drive innovation and efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, integrate, and optimize automation systems, ensuring they meet business needs and regulatory standards. We value candidates who are proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about advancing technology to improve processes. **Responsibilities** - Design, develop, and implement automation systems to support manufacturing and research operations. - Lead integration of new technologies into existing platforms, ensuring seamless functionality and compliance. - Collaborate with engineering, quality, and IT teams to deliver robust automation solutions. - Manage vendor relationships to procure and implement automation equipment and services. - Ensure systems meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. - Provide technical expertise and training to team members to enhance capabilities. **Qualifications/Skills** **Basic:** - Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. - Proven experience in automation systems design and implementation. - Strong knowledge of control systems, data integration, and process optimization. - Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly. - Experience in regulated environments, such as pharmaceutical or healthcare industries. **Preferred:** - Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional certification. - Familiarity with Siemens PCS7, SCADA systems, or similar platforms. - Knowledge of data communication protocols and cybersecurity standards. - Experience with validation processes and regulatory compliance. - Understanding of process safety and risk management principles. **Work Environment** This role is based in the United Kingdom and follows a hybrid working model, combining on-site and remote work.
