We are seeking an experienced Legal Operations Support Senior Manager to supervise support functions of the Legal Department and help improve or develop processes and procedures. This role will lead a team of project coordinators, paralegals, or other legal support staff to complete a range of duties across the Legal Department.
A great senior manager has excellent communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be a process improvement specialist and become well-versed in existing departmental procedures in order to actively discover new ways to support legal teams throughout the department more effectively. The candidate will also be a strong people leader and coach to individual contributors who may be working on matters across the department.
Essential Functions:
Utilize process improvement techniques methodically and continuously in all appropriate situations
Drive process reviews and mapping
Lead legal initiative or project work
Supervise legal support staff
Assess staff performance and provide coaching and guidance to ensure maximum efficiency
Ensure the smooth and adequate flow of information within the department to facilitate other business operations
Manage schedules and deadlines
Organize and supervise other administrative activities
Requirements:
4-year degree in business, management, or related field
5+ years management experience
Experience managing project staff
PMP certification preferred
Agile experience preferred
An analytical mind with problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Law firm or corporate legal department experience preferred
Location - Hybrid: This individual will be required to work onsite 3-4 days per week at our Chevy Chase, MD or New York, NY location.

Annual Salary
$148,000.00 - $230,000.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
