The Red Hat UXD team is looking for a UX Design Intern with some prior experience to join us in Israel. In this role, you’ll work closely with the AppDev UX team and contribute to products such as Red Hat Developer Hub and Red Hat Desktop, helping shape the experiences we deliver to developers and platform engineers.
As an intern, you’ll collaborate on solving real user problems and designing thoughtful solutions using tools like Figma Make, Cursor, and cloud-based development tools. You’ll also have opportunities to explore user research—creating surveys, running interviews, conducting usability studies, and turning insights into actionable recommendations for our partners in Engineering and Business Units.
This internship offers hands-on experience as part of a cross-functional design team, working alongside Product Managers, Engineers, and QE, while engaging directly with customers and users to better understand their needs and workflows.
We're looking for someone with budding interaction design skills who can work well with a team to turn requirements into designs and make complex technologies easy to use. As an Interaction Design Intern, you will:
Contribute to an interdisciplinary team that includes other user experience designers, developers, product and marketing managers, and other stakeholders through all phases of the development cycle.
Identify the right problems to solve, gauge the usability of products, and make sound recommendations for improvements.
Clearly understand and articulate the information architecture, workflows, and processes surrounding the user experience.
Create wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to communicate design intent effectively.
Partner with UI developers to ensure technical success.
You are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in interaction design, visual design, human-computer interaction, human factors, computer science, or a closely related area.
You have some experience with the user interface design process and methodologies like Design Thinking.
You have user experience work samples linked in your resume or presented in a portfolio.
Working with AI on a daily basis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Must be enrolled in an accredited university program in Israel during the whole duration of the internship and eligible to begin a full-time role in 2027 or 2028
Must be available for the internship from May 2026 till April 2027
Preferred qualifications
A basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus but not required
Due to the limited number of internship opportunities and the high volume of applications, we may not be able to speak with every candidate. To maximize your chances of moving forward in the process, please ensure your CV clearly outlines your education, relevant projects (link to your Github account), and extracurricular activities.
Please apply for a maximum of three internship roles that best match your interests and skills.
