Job Summary

Provide proactive strategic decision support on trade-related market access constraints and geopolitical regulatory developments (export controls, sanctions, customs/trade constraints). This role interprets trade compliance developments for advisory purposes and translates them into executive-ready insight, so leadership decisions are informed early and the company avoids late surprises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret trade compliance regulations and policy developments and translate them into MT- and Corporate/Business strategy-ready briefs, decision memos, and recommended actions.
  • Monitor regulatory and geopolitical developments, assess relevance, and ensure timely stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide early advisory input into strategic initiatives so trade compliance implications are understood before decisions are locked in.
  • Provide “market access by design” advisory input into strategic footprint and architecture decisions (e.g., server/data hosting location, cross-border access models, sensitive engineering activities such as tape-out workflows).
  • Advise on implications of entering high-sensitivity and nationally regulated market segments by translating constraints into decision-ready options, guardrails, escalation triggers, and recommended controls.
  • Develop scenario thinking and resilience planning for high-impact regulatory and geopolitical changes.
  • Coordinate alignment across Trade Compliance domain experts, Legal, Strategy, and business stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and follow-through.
  • Translate strategic insights into actionable operationalization priorities and playbook updates.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Experience in trade compliance, export controls/sanctions, customs/trade, regulatory strategy, or geopolitical risk.
  • Strong ability to synthesize complex topics into executive-level insights and decision memos.
  • Proven experience partnering with senior stakeholders across functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide trade compliance advisory support in semiconductor design/manufacturing environments (e.g., tape‑out workflows, R&D collaboration models, data hosting/access choices, global supply chains).
  • Semiconductor industry experience is strongly preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.

Language

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
