Mission

The “Enterprise AI and Enablement” team is dedicated to making a significant impact within the organization by leveraging AI. We are moving beyond the "hype" to embed AI into the very fabric of Swift.

Your mission is to lead the "How We Build" transformation. You will be in the driving seat to analyze our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) "As-Is," identifying toil and unlocking opportunities for improvement across the entire value chain—from Product Management and Business Analysis to Development, Testing, and Operations. You will act as a strategic architect, adapting your approach to the specific context, maturity, and legacy levels of our diverse Tribes. By balancing AI, automation, and process re-engineering, you will drive a value-based roadmap that modernizes our engineering practices.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Architecture (Top-Down & Bottom-Up): Drive a coherent transformation strategy. You will industrialize successful "bottom-up" use cases identified during pilots, while simultaneously applying a "top-down" industry view—leveraging emerging paradigms like Specification Driven Development and Agentic AI to ensure coherence across all SDLC steps.
  • Bridge the Gap (AI + SME): You will close the gap between generic AI capabilities and the deep Subject Matter Expertise (SME) of our engineers. You will translate AI potential into specific engineering contexts, ensuring that our tools respect the complexity of our financial messaging systems.
  • Collaborative Execution: You will avoid working in an "ivory tower." You will team up with the rest of the organization—working closely with Tribe Leads, Architects, and Agile Coaches. You will leverage existing organizational structures to scale your initiatives, ensuring buy-in from the people who own the code.
  • SDLC Deep-Dive & Process Re-engineering: Take ownership of analyzing the "As-Is" state of our engineering processes. You will identify bottlenecks, toil, and waste. You will prioritize investments based on value, deploying the right mix of AI, automation, and process simplification to solve specific friction points.
  • Contextual Adaptation: Recognize that "one size does not fit all." You will adapt your transformation framework to the unique reality of different Tribes—respecting their varying levels of technical maturity and legacy constraints while guiding them toward a shared standard of excellence.
  • Holistic Scope Management: Ensure the transformation covers the full lifecycle. You will not just focus on coding, but will drive AI adoption in Product Management (requirements), Business Analysis, Testing (automated generation), and Operations.
  • Continuous Technology Watch: Active monitoring of the explosive growth of AI for Software Development. You will filter the noise to identify the tools and practices that will deliver the highest impact for Swift and translate them into actionable adoption plans.
  • Driving "Horizon 1" Maturity: Accelerate individual adoption by creating "wow moments" for developers, testers, and BAs. You will organize dynamic engagement activities like "Hackathons," "Bug Bash" events, and "Show & Tell" demos that inspire the technical community to experiment.

Skills

  • Practical experience in Software Delivery (e.g. BA, Software Development, QA, DevOps, or Technical Product) Management.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess "As-Is" processes and identify "Toil."
  • Experience in Change Management or Agile Coaching.
  • Understanding of the full SDLC (PM to Ops), CI/CD pipelines, and modern engineering practices.
  • Teamwork, resilience, and tenacity.
