JOB MISSION:
As a Scrum Master on the DTC Engineering team, you will manage the sprint/iteration activities of the scrum team, facilitate agile ceremonies, and collaborate with the product owner on roadmap planning, prioritization, and goals for the scrum team. You will be responsible for coaching and mentoring all roles and levels of the organization.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Servant leader and coach to the Agile team Coach product owners and leadership on agile practices Build and measure organization’s agile maturity Determine best approach for agile transformation for teams with significant vendor development Determine best practice for teams based on workflow, i.e. Scrum, Kanban Identify vendor activity management approach and dependency management guidelines
Responsible for daily management of the scrum team Establishes and facilitates scrum ceremonies Collaborates with the Product Owner on backlog refinement, defining Epic level acceptance criteria
Coordinates the activities of the team as it relates to writing and estimating user stories
Establishes team capacity and velocity and manages sprints accordingly Establishes team level Definition of Ready and Definition of Done Assist in defining the sprint goals for each iteration Aligns priorities for the team during daily standup, backlog refinement
Assists in managing the daily triage processes for any defects and operational tickets that are filtered into the team Removes impediments for the team, identifies and manages dependencies In collaboration with the Product Owner, provides demo information at end of sprint to stakeholders
Establishes and communicates team level metrics
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
3-5 years in a Scrum Master role, Product Management role, or Product Engineering role, knowledge of scaled agile frameworks
Thorough knowledge and use of an agile tool, i.e., Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, VersionOne Strong written and verbal communications
Ability to work across functional groups Ability to identify gaps and areas of improvement, provide recommendations Technical education and agile trained certified professional.
Certified Agile Practitioner SAFe certified or experience (or other scaled agile frameworks)
Active involvement in the agile community Background in agile delivery, project management, engineering, or product management
