We're looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join Camera Team At Snap!
What you’ll do:
Lead and mentor a team of 10+ mobile developers across Android and iOS platforms, to build Camera experience that empower fast visual communication and rich content creation.
Develop the team’s strategy, establish a roadmap, set measurable objectives, and guide the team towards successful delivery of impactful products.
Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Operations, Data Science, Engineering, and key executive stakeholders, to drive cohesive and innovative solutions.
Assess the technical tradeoffs in major decisions, providing strong technical mentorship to support best practices and high-quality code.
Foster a growth-oriented environment through regular feedback, performance management, and development opportunities, advancing team members' careers and capabilities.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience of leading and developing high-performing teams to build mobile applications used by a wide and diverse audience.
Expertise in one of mobile development languages, specifically Objective C/Swift for iOS and Java/Kotlin for Android.
Strong product sense and collaborative abilities, skilled in working with cross-functional teams to achieve aligned goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience working in software engineering
2+ years managing mobile software engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven record of delivering performance-critical mobile applications.
Experience with media capture and processing on Android or iOS platforms.

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
The base salary range for this position is $222,000-$333,000 annually.
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
