Search engineer focused on supporting the ongoing development and enhancement of client’s ecommerce search solution.  Prefer experience working with at least one search engine, especially in an ecommerce application.

Main Responsibilities:

• Build and configure new and enhanced search engine query pipelines.  Prefer experience with Solr or Lucidworks Fusion, but any search engine experience is acceptable.

• Implement changes and enhancements based on requirements and designs prepared by Business Analysts and product owners.

• Interact closely with the product team to understand requirements, raise questions, implement and test changes to meet design expectations.

• Perform bug analysis to identify root cause, document findings, and implement/test fixes in collaboration with other workstreams and teams.

• Work with Technical Leads, Delivery lead, Scrum master, and client product owners and team members on prioritized sprint activities.  Use ticketing system (Azure DevOps) to track daily task status.  Update tickets daily with status, comments, code references, and blockers. Raise risks quickly.

• Use CI/CD processes to test and promote the solution.  Resolve bugs and fixes, perform unit testing, coordinate with QA Analyst to ensure solution passes QA tests.

• Maintain as-built documentation wiki as changes are made

• Proficient English communication skills, and ability to interface daily with project team members, including both client and Accenture resources.

Skills required:

• Core Skills: Python, Java, JavaScript, AWS.

• Minimum required education: High School Diploma.

• Advanced English written and spoken.

Preferred Skills:

• Search engine (Solr, Elasticsearch, others), Azure DevOps.
