2026 Undergraduate Summer Intern – Job Posting

Start Date: All interns must start in office and in person on June 8, 2026.

Anticipated End Date: August 14, 2026 – All interns must be in office and in person on their last day to return equipment. Interns must be located in the same location throughout the duration of their internship and are prohibited from returning laptop/equipment to a different office location or shipping their equipment back.

Position Summary: 

As a firm, Franklin Templeton has been at the forefront of income investing since 1948, when we launched our first multi-asset income fund, Franklin Income Fund.  Today, Franklin Income Investors, a specialist investment manager of Franklin Templeton, manages over $97B in multi-asset income portfolios globally.  Utilizing a flexible, dynamic investment approach, Franklin Income strategies invest across equity, fixed income, and hybrid securities to deliver steady income for clients worldwide.

We are looking for an Intern to join the Franklin Income Investors - Client Portfolio Management team based in New York City. This internship provides a unique opportunity to work alongside our team in the commercial success, growth, and retention of client assets for the firm’s flagship Income Strategies suite.

You’ll contribute on meaningful projects that shape how we communicate our multi-asset income strategies along with getting firsthand experience working with our clients. You will stand to gain exposure to client meetings, product positioning discussions, and investment conversations across stock and bond capital markets.

An intern in this department can expect to learn:

  • Exposure to the way a global asset manager positions and communicates multi-asset income strategies across channels with knowledge of different investment vehicles including Mutual Funds, ETFs, and Separately Managed Accounts.
  • Experience engaging with Franklin Templeton’s global distribution teams and gain an understanding of the Wealth Management business.
  • Learn key investment concepts and participate in the daily discussion of global capital markets which will include insights into market trends and performance drivers.

Key Responsibilities Can Include:

  • Supporting the Franklin Income Investors Client Portfolio Management team and providing custom analytics on the performance and growth of different channels and firms.
  • Development of bespoke presentation materials, reports, and/or client kits to support in-person and virtual client meetings.
  • Periodic presentations to the team on market dynamics, competitor products, or flow trends.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Keen interest in developing a career in financial services
  • The ability to conduct financial analysis / financial research and analyze data
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of the investment management industry and products
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with individuals at all levels, both within the organization and externally.

This is a full-time internship where students will work approximately 35 (dependent on state/location) hours per week and earn competitive hourly pay of $37 - $47(dependent on location, function, and year in school) USD per hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
