Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future to our 10 million+ personal and small business customers. Within RBS, the Customer, Digital and AI domain is responsible for designing and delivering customer-focused digital journeys and AI-enabled experiences at scale.  The Customer Engagement and Comms Crew sits at the centre of this ambition, leading enterprise-wide customer engagement capabilities and setting the benchmark for safe, personalised and trusted customer interactions.

You’ll work within the Decisioning, Governance and Controls squad reporting to the Product Owner, responsible for delivering capabilities to send proactive and real time event based communications to Retail and Business Banking customers by collaborating with product owners, designers, and engineers to solve complex customer engagement needs in ways our customers love.

As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping and scaling propositions that solve real customer problems, making banking frictionless, insightful, and empowering. Your experience as a senior product professional will be crucial in designing and executing initiatives that deliver against customer and business priorities, leveraging data, research, and agile ways of working.

In your first 12–18 months, you will:

•              Uplift decisioning platforms to ensure they meet all legal and regulatory requirements, establishing a governance framework with policies and standards for consistent, accountable, and transparent decision-making processes

•              Implement monitoring mechanisms and controls to manage decision-making, while upgrading technology and infrastructure to support compliance and governance, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient operations

•              Design end-to-end journeys across communication platforms

•              Collaborate with engineering, design, analytics, risk, and operations for smooth delivery and continuous iteration

•              Influence stakeholders and leadership through data-driven insights

What you’ll bring:

•              Proven experience delivering customer communications across channels using decisioning platforms

•              Whilst the position does not have any direct reports, the successful candidate will have the ability to lead through influence and guide squads toward customer outcomes

•              Customer obsession at your core

•              Strategic mindset with expertise in translating trends, data, and research into product direction

•              Advanced experience in product discovery, experimentation, and agile methodologies

•              Comfort collaborating with engineers across mobile, APIs, and backend systems

•              Excellent communication skills and a growth mindset

•              Risk awareness and proactive approach to identifying and managing risks
