About the Role:  

We are seeking a Senior QA professional to join our IT Organization and champion the quality, stability, and reliability of solutions that power critical business operations and client relationship processes across the firm. In this highly collaborative role, you’ll partner with developers, product owners, business stakeholders, and delivery leads to shape testing strategy, embed end-to-end quality practices, and validate complex CRM enhancements and integrations. The ideal candidate is an analytical, proactive problem-solver with deep experience in functional, integration, and regression testing—comfortable balancing hands-on execution with strategic quality leadership in a fast-paced delivery environment. 

This position requires a hybrid work environment. Baird is not currently hiring individuals for this position who now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status. 

 

 

The Impact You'll Make: 

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members to advise and ensure appropriate testing on projects and serve as a conduit in delivering quality results.  

  • Dive into ongoing projects and ask the appropriate questions to plan and create test cases and understand what needs to be done in terms of integration and regression testing.  

  • Provide recommendations on appropriate testing strategies and methodologies for assigned work.  

  • Perform analysis and identify candidates for test automation, determining the appropriate technology required.  

  • Design and develop automated test scripts and maintain and update existing scripts.  

  • Analyze results of test runs and determine cause of failures.  

  • Document, communicate, and track the progress of defects on through resolution.  

  • Actively participate in design reviews and provide feedback on features, user story acceptance criteria, and usability.  

  • Identify and communicate situations that put the project quality at risk.  

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of testing processes, tools, and frameworks.  

  • Work with delivery team and larger QA group to build our test automation practice. 

What You’ll Bring to Baird: 

  • A minimum of five (5) years of prior IT and/or Business-related experience, including at least five (5) years of Quality Assurance, Test Automation, or Software Development experience.  

  • Automated UI Testing with API Testing Tool such as ThunderClient or SOAPUI and Selenium experience preferred. 

  • Practical knowledge of and experience with agile software development methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, XP, Lean). 

  • Knowledge of test methodologies and the difference between testing and checking.  

  • Ability to automate, or recognize the opportunity to automate, repeated tasks and tests.  

  • Basic understanding of typical web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs).  

  • Proficiency with databases and SQL queries.  

  • Experience in testing both integration processes and reporting that reference large data sets.  

  • Experience with Azure Dev Ops, especially with integrated testing and pipelines (CI/CD) is a plus. 

  • .Net Framework/C# development with experience in unit test frameworks (nUnit, xUnit, MSTest). Experience with cumber-style test case authoring (Reqnroll/Specflow library). 

  • Strong communication skills, including experience speaking to technical and business audiences. Experience with Dynamics CRM a plus.  

  • Ability to partner with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Developers to review requirements, write user stories, discover risks, and identify areas to be tested, and help educate team members on testing approaches and methodology.  

  • Adaptability to change approach and priorities to meet the needs of the project and business.  

  • Experience with version control systems (GitHub).
