Job Summary
WS Finance is searching for a data enthusiast that would join our newly created WS Finance Analytics Team. If you enjoy working with data and want to solve business problems with data-driven methods, this position is for you.
Responsibilities
Performs moderately complex data analyses to determine trends, observe relationships, etc.
Automates routine analyses conducted by finance employees - conducts cost/benefit analysis, applies professional expertise to determine the best method of automation.
Creates data analytics tools that collect and process data from various sources and provide insights through appropriate visuals.
Works independently on moderate scope problems, applying professional expertise, exercising judgment, and resolving various issues.
Helps other team members in larger projects.
Acquires a comprehensive understanding of the organization's financial processes and gains proficient knowledge of the company's operations and business.
Establishes and maintains relationships with finance and business leaders.
Develops conclusions, recommendations, and written reports, contributing proactively through research and data analysis support, and sharing knowledge to foster a knowledge management culture.
Education and Experience Required
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in data analysis related roles.
Knowledge & Skills
Data analysis in Power BI (data modelling, DAX) - moderate experience required
Data analysis in Python pandas - nice to have
Understanding of ML algorithms (classification, regression, etc.) - nice to have
General understanding of finance (Financial Analysis, Financial Statements)
