What would you do? The Global Process Owner – Pre-Payroll Transition is accountable for the end-to-end design, transition, stabilization, and governance of global pre-payroll processes across all regions. The role ensures standardized, compliant, and scalable pre-payroll operations during transitions from client/vendor/legacy models into the Global Business Services (GBS) operating model,
Own the global pre-payroll process taxonomy, scope definition, and operating model across regions (NA,)
Define global standards, policies, controls, and guardrails for pre-payroll inputs impacting payroll processing accuracy and compliance.
Act as the single point of accountability for pre-payroll process decisions during transition and steady state
Lead end-to-end pre-payroll transition activities including discovery, knowledge transfer, shadow/support, controlled go-live, and hypercare.
Define and approve stage-gate entry/exit criteria, Go / No-Go recommendations, and transition risk mitigations.
Partner with client retained teams, vendors (e.g., payroll providers), and GBS delivery to ensure zero payroll disruption during transition
What are we looking for? Own and approve global DTPs, SOPs, process flows, RACI, SLAs, and escalation matrices for pre-payroll.
Ensure documentation is audit-ready, version-controlled, and aligned to global governance standards.
Drive simplification, standardization, and elimination of regional process deviations where feasible.
•Define and lead transition governance cadence (weekly governance calls, RAID management, executive updates).
Identify pre-payroll risks (cut-off breaches, data quality, upstream dependencies) and implement preventive and detective controls.
Ensure strict compliance with client data policies and regulatory requirements
Deep understanding of pre-payroll controls and payroll dependencies
Strong transition governance, risk management, and stakeholder leadership
Ability to operate at strategic and execution levels simultaneously
Excellent documentation, communication, and executive presentation skills
