JR64120 PCB Material EngineerResponsibility
As a PDE Materials Engineer you will be accountable for the quality of the materials used for the BE Operations which include Subcon mfg. You will provide oversight to the development and revalidation of direct material specifications. You will set expectations for internal/external operations regarding the first article inspection (FAI), incoming quality control (IQC) criteria, Critical to Quality (CTQ), Special Process Characteristics, process flows, and sampling plans. You will insure that new materials/suppliers meet Micron requirements through collaboration with procurement teams, MEMQA Engineering, and various engineering teams. You are accountable for developing the methods and metrics that provide improvements to material quality performance. You will manage global improvement projects. You will oversee supplier quality improvement activities to insure performance milestones are met. You are accountable for establishing supplier performance expectations, and performing on site supplier assessments as needed. You will lead a team of Material Engineers to achieve the performance metrics determined by the MATENG team.
Job Description
Contribute to the development of new product opportunities with Printed Circuit Boards. Provide support to improve robustness of design rules. Participate in design review process. Develop and manage material technology roadmap development. Qualify new components. Develop and manage supplier material requirements. Provide support to AVL management. Develop and recommend corrective actions. Contributing to cross group communication to work towards standardization and group success. Work with Marketing, Probe, Assembly, Test, Process Integration, and Product Engineering groups to ensure accurate manufacturability of product. Solicit guidance from Standards, CAD, modeling, and verification groups to improve the design quality. Drive innovation into the future Memory generations within a dynamic work environment.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or related science or engineering field.
