This position will provide regulatory compliance expertise to the organization and will help to ensure the legal entities in Europe operate in an effectively and consistently controlled environment compliant with regulatory obligations. This position will stay abreast of regulatory changes, analyze regulatory information and promptly inform the impacted organization(s) about the upcoming changes as well as help to transfer the requirements into policies and procedures and required employee education and coordinate correspondence related to regulatory matters pertaining to Regulatory Compliance.    

Role Responsibilities 

  •  Constantly monitor and analyze regulatory information and inform the organization of regulatory changes. 

  • Analyse the impact of regulatory change at both individual country level and regional level. 

  • Coordinate communication to impacted businesses / teams on forthcoming regulatory changes. 

  • Help respective departments to ensure their operational practices are in compliance with relevant regulations, risk standards and policies. 

  • Coordinate designing, development and implementation of appropriate regulatory compliance related policies and procedures. 

  • Assure department follows company policies through appropriate documentation governance and record retention standards. 

  • Assist with preparation of regulatory compliance updates for multiple regional committees. 

  • Help to monitor external enforcement actions against industry peers and analyse the Compliance program to determine if potential control gaps exist. 

  • Prepare content for employee education on regulatory compliance matters and liaise with multiple departments to establish and maintain effective and relevant compliance support.  

  • May respond to requests for legal documentation from regulatory agencies in response to investigations and examinations.  

  • Organize, facilitate and / or perform the work with minimal supervision. 

  • Contribute to customer satisfaction through positive interaction with various teams, responsiveness to requests, attention to schedules, and high-quality work. 

 Role Requirements     

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in legal practice or complex consumer financial services/payment services organizations with multiple financial products or regulatory agency specializing in payment services compliance issues. 

  • Knowledge of current EU regulations, with a specific focus on Irish regulatory environment is a must. 

  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and develop new processes and procedures 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide direction if required 

  • Sets high personal standards for goals and objectives 

  • Ability to work independently, while recognizing own limitations and seeking the advice of subject-matter experts as required 

  • Demonstrates ability to use knowledge and experience to solve problems 

Maintains good working relationships with colleagues 

  • Demonstrates ability to respond quickly and constructively to changes or unexpected shifts in priorities 

  • Manages workload and meets challenging deadlines 

  •  Keeps projects moving and organized
