Leads divisional internal communications infrastructure, and execution. Serves as a trusted advisor to leadership—translating business priorities into clear, compelling messaging while ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery across all channels. Oversees communications platforms, editorial standards, and a team responsible for content creation and channel execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead & Develop Team
    Manage and develop a team of communications professionals, including design, video, and channel execution roles; set high performance standards and drive accountability.

  • Strategic Communications Advisory
    Partner with senior leaders to shape communications strategies that advance key business priorities and influence outcomes.

  • Content & Editorial Leadership
    Own editorial standards and oversee all written, visual, and multimedia content; ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with Vanguard brand.

  • Channel & Infrastructure Ownership
    Lead end-to-end communications infrastructure (SharePoint/intranet, newsletters, distribution lists, planning, measurement, and multimedia integration).
    Ensure channels are optimized, integrated, and aligned to audience needs.

  • Execution Excellence
    Drive end-to-end delivery of communications—from planning through measurement—ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes.

  • Stakeholder Influence
    Act as a trusted advisor to resolve competing priorities, shape messaging, and guide channel strategy across stakeholders.

  • Continuous Improvement
    Apply data, insights, and industry best practices to improve communication effectiveness and elevate the crew experience.

  • Events & Initiatives
    Support communications strategy and execution for major divisional events and key initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including internal communications strategy and execution.

  • Demonstrated experience translating business strategy into communications.

  • Strong writing, editing, and editorial judgment; ability to maintain high content standards across formats.

  • Experience managing communications channels and infrastructure (e.g., intranet, newsletters, measurement).

  • Proven people leadership or team management experience preferred.

  • Experience managing creative resources (design, video) preferred.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred.
