We are seeking a talented individual to join our Claims Advocacy team at Marsh Risk. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.  The organization welcomes applications from across the region to be included for consideration for this role.

The Regional Casualty Lead Advocate – Asia role is a key leadership position responsible for the proactive management of Asia’s complex casualty claims advocacy agenda, including providing claims advocacy, advisory, and (where required) handling support across the region.

This role serves as the technical lead for complex and specialist casualty claims across Asia, partnering closely with country Claims Advocacy leaders and Casualty client teams, supervising the largest and most complex claims, and shaping best practice in claim strategy, insurer engagement, and service delivery.

The Regional Casualty Lead Advocate is responsible for leading/coordinating Marsh’s Claims response to major and complex casualty claims across Asia, with particular focus on Product Recall, Environmental Impairment Liability (EIL) , and other specialist casualty lines. The position also involves leading claims activities including designing new or improved claims processes, management information and trend reporting, and communicating best practices to achieve effective and efficient service delivery.

The successful candidate will be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders — such as risk managers, insurers, defense counsel, forensic and environmental consultants, adjusters/TPAs, and regulators — and to identify and develop opportunities for claims process efficiency and enhanced claim outcomes across the countries under their remit.

We will count on you to:

  • Lead the advocacy response for major, complex, and high-severity casualty claims across Asia, including multi-jurisdiction matters and claims with significant coverage and liability complexity.
  • Manage or supervise complex negotiations with insurers to ensure the best possible claim outcomes for our clients. Coverage position management, Reservation of rights and declinature mitigation.
  • Set claim strategy for large losses, including establishing claims plans, decision logs, coverage analyses, and communication cadence for client stakeholders.
  • Drive consistent execution of best-in-class claims operating standards, including triage protocols, escalation thresholds, file quality, and client data reporting.
  • Evaluate escalated claims process issues of high complexity affecting direct/matrix reports (and potential secondary reports) and provide resolution or escalate further to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Lead claims insertion and support elements of tenders and RFP responses for major clients and prospects, articulating Marsh’s complex casualty claims value proposition.
  • Support optimal role–cost–location alignment and workload balancing through workflow management, including the use of TPAs/adjusters and specialist vendors where appropriate.
  • Design and evaluate claims operations processes and strategies while managing the impact and delivery of change to achieve team operational goals and maximise process efficiencies.
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with regional and country claims teams to drive consistent practices and continuous improvement.
  • Challenge existing practices and develop innovative solutions related to departmental risks, operational controls, and efficiency initiatives to contribute to the effective management of shared operations.
  • Contribute to profitable growth by providing risk insights, information, and trends to Business Unit/Client Executives or clients as needed. Partner with regional and country leadership to innovate, identify, and execute new revenue models and value-added propositions for casualty claims advocacy, where appropriate.
  • Design, evaluate, and approve operational controls in accordance with established business policies and procedures to ensure alignment with Marsh Global standards.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in in casualty insurance claims, liability adjusting, insurance coverage/legal practice, underwriting claims, or brokerage claims advocacy, with demonstrated experience in complex and specialist casualty lines.
  • Possess solid insurance brokerage (or related insurance claims/legal), account management, servicing, and sales skills.
  • Demonstrated claims management competency in the Asia casualty insurance market, including knowledge of insurer behaviours, market practices, and escalation pathways.
  • Experience working with large corporate and multinational accounts.
  • Experience working with Complex layered casualty programs (primary/excess/umbrella), subscription markets and multi-insurer coordination.
  • Proficient in PC skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ambitious, solution-focused, and possessing strong skills in claims advisory management.

  • Established strong relationships with customers, insurers, and key intermediaries.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven capabilities to build high-performing teams and partner effectively across placement, risk consulting, and industry practices
