Team Description

As part of Sabre’s IT Solutions Accounting team, you will take on interesting and challenging responsibilities which include reviewing contracts with customers and establishing accurate revenue accounting in accordance with US GAAP. Every day is a new challenge here at Sabre, and you're continually looking for ways to help our team improve upon great performance. Your focus is on contract analysis and process flow of detailed information. You have a passion for not only learning about revenue recognition but also maintaining detailed documentation and analysis. The keys to success in this position are taking full ownership of customer contracts and engaging in process efficiency to independently drive workflow/results.


The team is made up of collaborative, diligent, and diverse professionals that seek to support our contracts with customers with timely and effective execution of monthly duties while upholding Sabre’s values and internal control framework.
 

Responsibilities

  • Review contracts for airline customers for accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and Company policies.

  • Perform contract pricing evaluation, product/service agreement analysis, apply revenue accounting guidance in accordance with US GAAP and company policy, determine revenue allocations, prepare related revenue schedules in excel.

  • Maintain and monitor monthly reports of revenue and expenditures for projects.

  • Prepare invoicing statements for airline customers in accordance with underlying contracts.

  • Maintain one or more accounting systems: journal entries, general ledger, accounts receivables, billing information, accounts payable, revenue reconciliation, SAP project systems inputs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting regulations /policies.

  • Maintain internal billing systems.

  • Ensure internal controls are performed, documented, and operating effectively on a timely basis.

  • Assist in special projects as needed.

  • May assist in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report revenue, including deferred revenue, in accordance with the company revenue recognition policy.

  • May generate revenue reports for internal and/or external use.

  • May interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required
  • CPA license or candidate with parts passed preferred
  • 1- 2 years accounting / finance experience, one year of public or industry accounting preferred
  • Advanced level of English – oral and written
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Analytical skills
  • SAP system knowledge preferred
  • Good organizational and time management skills /ability to continually prioritize workload and respond to top priorities with a sense of urgency
  • Detail-oriented with both the ambition and willingness to dive into the details necessary to accomplish responsibilities and solve problems
  • Experience with multiple performance obligation revenue recognition and software revenue recognition preferred.
