Job Summary

The Director International Tax will ensure compliance with tax regulations and optimize the company's global tax position.

Responsibilities

As a key member of the International Tax Team, the Director supports the AVP International Tax and is responsible for various compliance with tax regulations and IRS tax audits of the Company’s non-US entities.

  • Review E&P calculations, Subpart F, FDII and GILTI inclusions, foreign tax credit and similar calculations for tax compliance and annual/quarterly tax provision purposes
  • Review U.S. international compliance forms, including Forms 5471, 8858, 8990, 8991, 8992, 8993, 1118 etc.
  • Performs technical tax review and approval of all other US international tax returns in a timely manner to meet deadlines
  • Support global planning and reporting for Pillar Two, Global Minimum Tax regime
  • Supports cross border cash repatriation in collaboration with the Treasury, F&A and foreign finance teams.
  • Supports IRS tax audits of the Company’s international tax operations.
  • Manages external tax advisors for selected functions of the international tax team.
  • Provides input on tax matters to operational business leads on business initiatives.

Specific Candidate Profile

Education

  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance or commensurate experience 
  • CPA or Master of Taxation preferred 

Experience

  • Minimum of eight years of experience working in corporate tax or similar tax environment. International tax experience preferred. 
  • Experience assisting with and managing large-scale tax process initiatives. 
  • Timeshare, real estate development, or hospitality experience preferred.   

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong US Tax technical skills as well as knowledge of foreign tax laws.
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. 
  • Proven, excellent verbal and written communications skills.  Strong analytical skills. 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point. Experience with Alteryx, ERP preferred.
