Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Join Walmart’s U.S. Consumer Protection Compliance team as a Manager focusing on product and packaging claim compliance. You will make a difference by building trust with customers by helping enhance and implement controls designed to ensure compliance with consumer protection laws and regulations, including Section 5 of the FTC Act and state unfair and deceptive acts and practice (UDAP) laws. This is a cross-functional role that will work closely with legal, business stakeholders and other areas within compliance to implement programs that minimize regulatory risk around product claims.

Based in Bentonville, Arkansas...no remote or hybrid exceptions.

What you’ll do….

  • Execute the Product and Packaging Claims Compliance Program for Walmart and Sam’s Club.

  • Collaborate with team members to support the development and enhancement of the Product and Packaging Claims Compliance Program.

  • Provide guidance to business stakeholders around claim substantiation.

  • Assess the effectiveness of controls for the use of the claims on private brand products and in omnichannel initiatives.

  • Implement strategies to mitigate reputational, legal, and regulatory risk associated with product and packaging claims.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure program awareness and communicate change impact to other business areas.

  • Draft communications to inform business stakeholders and suppliers of claim substantiation requirements.

  • Identify risk, trends and patterns.

What you’ll bring….

  • Experience working in compliance and/or acting as a subject matter expert in federal or state consumer protection law.

  • Strong communication skills to interact with senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams within a corporate environment and establishing collaborative relationships with business, legal, and compliance partners.

  • You are action-oriented, resourceful, and approachable while also having the ability to influence and lead change.

  • You’re organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • You are a problem-solver, able to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 2 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 4 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area.
2 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
