SCUK Pricing and Commissions MI Manager

Santander Consumer Finance is one of the UK’s Leading Motor Finance companies and we are currently looking for a Pricing and Commissions MI Manager to be responsible for developing, automating and maintaining pricing and commissions reporting processes and MI.
Please note this role is a hybrid role with at least 3 days a week in the Redhill office. Remote workers will not be considered.
Responsibilities will include:
- Running commercial and financial month end MI on Working Days 1-3 using database tools such as MS Access and Business Objects to meet stakeholder deadlines and requirements
- Ensuring accuracy of reporting output, investigating and resolving any differences as required
- Interrogating data using a variety of sources to understand any anomalies or resolve queries as required
- Ensuring reporting processes are well documented and up to date in line with governance
- Providing support in developing Excel based tools such as pricing models and customer agreement calculators using advanced formulae, pivot tables and VBA as required
- Edit, amend and create queries and reports to be able to accommodate changing reporting requirements as requested by stakeholders
- Ensuring testing has been fully completed and output is as expected
- Using data to assist with analysis of pricing changes and identification of trends in dealer behaviour
- Being the subject matter expert on data within the team, helping other team members improve reports and analysis

- Migrating existing month end reporting processes from Access to SAS or Business Objects as appropriate to accommodate new back-end systems
- Build, develop and automate dealer commission reports using tools such as Excel, VBA, Business Objects, Power BI, MS Access and SAS as appropriate
- Ensuring EUC tools and reports are adhering to correct governance and regulation including those relating to data protection, record retention, documentation, access and controls
- Adhering to our commitment to Consumer Duty ensuring we put our customers’ needs first and set higher and clearer standards of consumer protection
What we’re looking for:
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot data quality and functional issues
- Understanding of patterns in data and ask questions of data to ensure accuracy and provide valuable insight
- The capacity to evaluate data and information with a discerning and analytical mindset
- A passion for automation and process improvement
- Exemplary attention to detail from identifying errors in reporting, trends as well as a keen eye for aesthetics within reporting dashboards and packs
- Strong time management skills by delivering activity within prescribed timeframes through the effective prioritisation of multiple deadlines
- Natural skill to convey complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner (including Technical Writing ability to create accurate product and service documentation)
- Experience of implementing suitable control mechanisms to prevent occurrence or re-occurrence of data quality issues
- Understanding of data security and compliance standards to protect the integrity and confidentiality of data
- Experience dealing with data governance to ensure that data handling practices adhere to legal and industry-specific regulations
- Master of the art of data visualisation and well-versed in the use of Business Objects and Power BI for data visualisation and analysis
- A strong command of Microsoft Excel for data manipulation
- Advanced knowledge of MS Access and database interrogation & programming skills (relational database, advance select queries, indexes, and constraints)
- Knowledge of SQL and SAS is desirable
